Performance Testing in Atlanta
Numbers instead of guesswork — testing you can repeat later to see whether anything actually changed.
What we test
VO₂ Max Assessment
A graded effort test measuring the maximum oxygen your body can use during exercise. It's the most direct read on cardiovascular fitness and gives you training zones grounded in your own physiology rather than a formula based on your age.
Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR)
Measures how many calories your body burns at rest. Useful when nutrition targets have been guesswork or a generic calculator up to now.
Grip Strength Assessment
A quick, well-established measure that tracks meaningfully over time.
Body Composition Scan (InBody)
Breaks weight into lean mass, fat mass and water rather than a single number on a scale. Most useful when repeated, so you can see direction of travel.
Full Performance Testing Package
All of the above in one appointment, with results reviewed together.
Who tends to use it
- People starting a training block who want a baseline
- Athletes who want training zones based on measurement, not estimates
- Anyone whose nutrition targets have been guesswork
- Members re-testing to see whether the last few months worked
How it fits with everything else
Performance testing is deliberately not bundled into any membership tier — it is a scheduled assessment rather than a drop-in service. It is available à la carte to everyone, at a member discount for members. Testing pairs naturally with recovery: the baseline tells you where you are, the recovery work supports the training that changes it.
Common questions
How should I prepare?
Preparation differs by test — RMR in particular requires arriving fasted. Staff will send specific instructions when you book.
How long does it take?
Individual assessments are relatively quick; the full package is a longer single appointment. We'll confirm timing when you book.
Is testing included in a membership?
No. Performance testing is available à la carte to everyone, with a discount for members.
Should I re-test?
Testing is most valuable repeated. A single number is a snapshot; two numbers months apart tell you whether your training is working.
