Compression
Compression Therapy in Atlanta
Pneumatic sleeves that inflate and release in sequence along the limb — the easiest session in the studio to actually enjoy.
What it is
You sit back in a recliner while sleeves wrap the legs, hips or arms. The sleeves inflate and release in a timed sequence along the limb rather than squeezing everywhere at once.
Pressure and cycle length are adjustable. It should feel firm and rhythmic, never painful — say something and staff will dial it back.
What a session looks like
- Settle into a recliner; staff fit the sleeves and set your pressure.
- Twenty to thirty minutes, depending on your booking.
- Most people read, answer email, or close their eyes.
This is the session people book when they want recovery without effort, and it's a natural first visit if you're new to the studio.
Who tends to use it
- Runners and cyclists after long efforts
- People on their feet all day — nurses, stylists, trades, hospitality
- Anyone with a long flight behind or ahead of them
- Members winding down after cryotherapy
How it fits with everything else
Compression is the most common pairing in the studio — usually straight after whole-body cryotherapy, or alongside assisted stretch. It is unlimited on the Plutus Elite and Founder's memberships and included in Signature and Lifestyle service credits.
Common questions
How long is a session?
Typically 20 to 30 minutes.
Does it hurt?
It shouldn't. The pressure is firm and rhythmic, and it's adjustable throughout — tell staff and they'll change it.
What do I wear?
Comfortable athletic wear. Long sleeves or leggings are ideal under the sleeves.
Can I do it the same day as cryotherapy?
Yes — pairing the two in one visit is one of the most common ways members use the studio.
